Fair Use Policy

1.Why there is a limit at all
In short Researching a contact costs us real money each time. Limits exist for scripts, not for people.
When you add someone to bondai, we go and find out who they are: their role, their company, recent news about them, how the two of you write to each other. That research is real work done by services we pay for, per contact.
For anyone using bondai as it is meant to be used, that cost is fine and it is what your subscription pays for. It stops being fine when contacts are added automatically, in volumes a person could not type, by a script or an integration gone wrong. That is what this policy is for, and it is the only thing it is for.
2.The limits
In short 100 new contacts a day. 50 researched a day, 300 a month.
- New contacts: up to 100 a day per account.
- Contact research: up to 50 contacts researched a day, and 300 a month.
- Rewriting a contact's profile: up to 200 times a day. This happens automatically whenever you edit someone, so you will only see it if something is editing contacts on a loop.
We may change these numbers. If we lower one in a way that would affect how you already use bondai, we will tell you first.
3.What happens if you reach one
In short Nothing you have saved is affected. Ever.
We never delete, hide or lock anything because of this policy.
If you reach the daily limit on new contacts, bondai will say so and ask you to carry on tomorrow.
If you reach a research limit, your contacts still save. We hold off on the background research until the limit resets and pick it up then, so you may notice a profile filling in a little later than usual. That is all.
Limits reset at midnight UTC, which is mid-morning in Australia.
4.If you need more
In short Ask. We would rather hear from you than have you work around a limit.
Get in touch and we will sort it out. Moving a large existing database across, running a busy team account, or building on top of bondai are all reasonable things to want, and none of them is what this policy is aimed at.
5.What is not allowed
In short Two things, and both are about intent rather than volume.
- Using bondai to collect or resell contact data, rather than to manage relationships you actually have.
- Deliberately working around these limits, by spreading the same activity across several accounts or by automating sign-ups to do it.
Either of these can lead to an account being suspended and, unlike everything else here, that is not automatic. We would talk to you first.
